We finished our work in Florida around April 1st and picked up the Airstream at the storage yard and drove home. We followed up the West coast of Florida and visited the Naval Air Museum at Pensacola. Spent 2 nights at Mystic Springs Airstream park on the way. Took a tour of the new Hyundai plant in Montgomery the next day. Nice plant and clean manufacturing facility. Spent the night at a commercial campground and made it to Southern Illinois by the next evening. Found a nice little city campground at Johnston City for only $7 per night. Got back home in time to finish up my federal taxes. The rest of the spring has been spent getting caught up with the things that happened when we were gone (like the broken frozen water pipe that put 120,000 gallons of water into one of the houses.) and other things which need to be done. Taking the Airstream to Florida was a mistake this year, as we did not spend one night in it while we were there. Since we have now purchased the mobile in Florida and are paying to maintain it, we will likely spend 4 months or more there next year and there will be no necessity to take the Airstream back. We did not go to the International in DuQuoin this year so we need to find some other uses for it.
